DENIM WAVES ORI is a tribute to the art of Sakiori, the time-honored Japanese technique of repurposing fabric into new weaves.
Inspired by Hokusai’s iconic The Great Wave off Kanagawa, undyed natural mohair twill lines flow across the textile, echoing the movement of water. Our deep admiration for Japanese craftsmanship, simplicity, and reverence for material comes to life in this piece—where hand-cut denim “yarn” and locally sourced mohair intertwine in organic harmony. The result is a textile of quiet strength and refined tactility, designed to enrich intimate interiors with both history and resilience.

| Lead Time | Each and every metre of fabric is handwoven in our textile studio and finished by hand. Some are washed and left to dry in the natural elements, before being checked for quality. Current lead times are: 10 – 12 weeks depending on yarn availability and size of order |
