Product Care Guidelines
Hand wash in cold water with mild OR wool detergent or hair shampoo. Gently agitate by hand to dislodge dirt. Do not agitate unduly. Heat and agitation cause wool to shrink or ‘felt’, so make sure you wash gently in cool water and never rub or wring the wool. Rinse in cool water. A small amount of fabric softener can be used if desired. Hang or lay flat to dry. When dry, a brisk shake or brush (with a stiff hair brush) will restore the pile. Gentle coaxing, rather than firm strokes, is advised to ease out tangle and create the downy pile for which Mohair is renowned. Do not tumble dry. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS PLEASE DRY CLEAN INSTEAD. WHEN NOT IN USE STORE IN A SEALED BAG AWAY FROM BUGS PREFERABLY WITH MOTH REPELLENT.
