Baranasi

Description

From the swirling spice markets of Old Delhi to the sun-kissed beaches of Goa, and from the vibrant street art of Mumbai to the majestic ghats of Varanasi, where women in brightly coloured saris gather along the riverbanks, a kaleidoscopic explosion of hue and texture comes alive.

The hot pinks, burnt oranges, and deep violets that dance in the dusty Indian light have inspired our Baranasi fabric, which embodies the country’s irrepressible spirit and joyous celebration of colour. The base of the fabric is a muted, organic melange of greys, whites, and deep blues, providing a calm and serene backdrop for the bursts of colorful chunky silk yarn, crafted from recycled silk saris, which add a touch of whimsy and playfulness to the fabric.
