If you haven’t visited Madagascar, and the islands of Nosy Be or Nosy Komba yet, we’d highly recommend them for a relaxing and beautiful beach holiday.

On our recent trip there, we were in amid with the exquisite cut-work embroidery all made by hand by the women in Northern Madagascar. Specific to this region, these traditional cotton cloths can take several days to a couple of weeks to complete.

We’re pondering some ideas of working with the women there to create something unique for our collection and support this incredible place of beauty.

As weavers we love materials

We’re obsessed with fibres and materials. The more texture, the better.
To be specific, we’re completely smitten by all materials that can biodegrade.

This isn’t always so easy when you’re a small manufacturer. Sourcing yarns and materials could be a full time job.
But we love it, and we’re committed to the journey.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the #AfricaTextilesTalks – we loved every minute of it. We went away feeling extra inspired.
